Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a Twitter message said Iran ready to share its experience with African countries to help save lives amid coronavirus pandemic.

The Iranian foreign minister posted the message on Monday on the occasion of Africa Day.

He said Iran has always been and will forever be a reliable partner of all African nations.

“Congratulations on #AfricaDay2020, reminding us of the brave struggles of Africans against oppression. Iran has always been—and will forever be—a reliable partner of all fraternal African nations. Amid #COVID19 ready to share our experience and expertise to help save lives,” he twitted.

On May 25, the African continent marked the 57th anniversary of the establishment of the Organization of African Unity (OAU). The day is marked annually as Africa Day.

This year’s celebrations took place amid the continent's advancing efforts to combat the spread of the coronavirus disease.

At the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, Iran was one of the worst-hit countries in the world. Now, it has gained valuable experiences in fighting the novel virus and is ready to share its experiences with other countries.
