Being the fourth of a series of roundtables with the same title, the forum was sponsored by the Center for China Studies in Allameh Tabataba’i University in cooperation with Beijing Language and Culture University, IRNA reported.
In an address to the event, Zahra Mirhosseini, a member of Alzahra University’s Department of Women and Family Studies – Faculty of Social Sciences and Economics, said women's presence in the society is not only accepted but considered a necessity for social life.
She added studies show that although, over the last decades, focus has been put on women's role in developing cultural interactions, their capacities have not yet been completely used.
Delivering her speech, Shahla Bagheri, a member of the Department of Social Sciences of Kharazmi University, described women as the cause of reinforcing cultural interactions between Iran and China.
Liu Hui, a member of the School of Asian and African Studies and Shanghai International Studies University as well as the director of Persian Faculty, said Iran and China are developing their relations in political, economic and trade fields.
The other Chinese expert who delivered his speech at the forum was Professor Song Xian, a member of the Institute of World History, Chinese Academy of History and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
