A total of 4,775 films from Iran and 122 other countries have been submitted for participation in the fourth edition of Kish Mowj International Film Festival to be held during February 16-19, said the event’s secretary.
Ebrahim Hesari added the foreign films are from countries including the US, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Canada, France, China, India, the UAE, Russia, South Korea, Portugal, Greece, Brazil, the UK, Lebanon and Belgium, IRNA reported.
He added the deadline has passed for the submission of films to the festival’s secretariat.
Of the total number of the submitted films, 468 movies (334 dramas and 134 documentaries) have been registered for participation in the fest’s national section, Hesari said.
He put the number of the submitted foreign films and screenplays at 4,066 and 241 respectively.
The festival will be held in Kish Island, southern Iran.
The event will have two main sections: 1. Short film with the subject of travel and tourism, and 2. Short screenplay, which is only for the Iranian participants, according to mowjfest.kish.ir.
